SUMMARY:Vicarious Trauma Workshop (Virtual Session\, Evening)
DESCRIPTION:This session is being held online via Zoom. \nThis is an evening session (6-9pm). \n  \nThis 3-hour workshop for service providers will look at the definition of trauma\, and vicarious trauma\, as well as the impact of trauma on our minds and bodies. In exploring the warning signs and risk factors of vicarious trauma\, strategies to address and protect from the impact of the work will be highlighted. This workshop incorporates mindfulness activities to provide participants with the experience of these practices and how they might be useful in mitigating the impact of vicarious trauma. This workshop is meant to look at our own stress responses and incorporate stress management and selfcare in our everyday lives. \nThis workshop is geared for service providers in caring professions who may be impacted by the trauma they witness in their work. \nThis training will be presented in-person at Klinic Community Health. \nPre-registration is required.
